Bajaj is out to launch the most affordable geared bike in India and the company has fired a salvo in that direction. The new Bajaj Platina 100KS, with the moniker denoting kick start, price in India is Rs 51,667, ex-showroom. This makes it cheaper than even the TVS Sport which is priced at Rs 54,850. Bajaj says that the Platina 100KS has been in showrooms from a couple of weeks and hence immediate deliveries are possible. This bike is affordable than even the ES drum model that is at Rs 59,904. Two colours are available – Cocktail Wine Red, & Ebony Black with Silver decals. The bike comes with SnS Nitrox suspension, tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, LED DRLs, quilted seat, hand guards, new indicators as well as mirrors. What this bike misses out is on the electric starter.
Bajaj Platina 100KS specs
The Bajaj Platina 100KS is built to a price. It borrows the same engine from the Platina 100ES. The single cylinder motor makes 7.9PS of power and 8.3Nm. The gearbox is a 4-speeder. Bajaj claims a lofty 89kmpl from this engine. There are drum brakes at both ends while the instrument console is an analogue unit.

The Bajaj Platina 100KS is not only the most affordable bikes in India but one of the few ones available only with a kickstart. In this age, even the rural audience wants an electric starter with their scooters or bikes. Only the Bajaj CT100 KS is one bike that is even affordable than this motorcycle.
