The previous price started from Rs 33 lakh and the top model used to be priced above Rs 36 lakh. These prices are effective from today and customers can book the same at their nearest Audi showroom.
Does the Audi A3 lose out on any features?
No, the variant list remains the same as before. You get the Premium Plus and the Technology trims, with the latter being the top-spec model.
Depending on the trim selected, one gets a panoramic sunroof, Audi Phone box with wireless charging, 2-zone AC with rear vents and entry LED lights with Audi logo. The S line package is now available in the Audi A3 sedan and boasts a bit more aggressive front-rear bumpers and side skirts, S line radiator grille, S line rear diffuser, tailpipes in chrome, illuminated door sill trims with S logo and S line badge on the front fender.
The new Audi A3 continues with the engines it got in 2017. This includes a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine produces 150PS of power and 250Nm torque. This engine is paired to a 7-speed gearbox and lays claim to a mileage of 19.2kmpl, thanks to cylinder deactivation feature. The diesel in the meanwhile produces 150PS/320Nm. The claimed mileage is 20.38kmpl.
A3 sales haven’t quite taken off the way the company expected it to. This in short means that there are a lot of discounts being offered. It’s chief rival in India is the Mercedes-Benz CLA and sales of the same haven’t been as encouraging too. It may be that at a similar price, you get premium SUVs.
