All-new Hyundai i20 launch date out: Bookings, expected price, specs revealed

Right now, you won’t find the Hyundai Elite i20 on the company’s India website. The few dealers that have the car with them are more than happy to part with it. They are willing to offer discounts to the tune of Rs 80,000-90,000. The all-new Hyundai i20 will be launched in India on November 5, 2020. The variant line-up is the same as before – Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). Booking amount of this premium hatchback has been set at Rs 21,000 and one can do it online or at authorised showrooms. If one does it online using ICICI or HDFC bank cards, 10 per cent cashback will be given. The bookings begin from October 28.

A choice of single tone as well as dual colours are offered with the new i20. These include silver, white, red, grey, copper and black. The dual-tone colours are white with black roof and red with black roof.

 

What engine options do I get with the all-new Hyundai i20?

Feature-wise, the all-new Hyundai i20 gets LED projector headlamps, projector fog lights, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, a sunroof, and rear LED lights. Inside, you have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system complete with Bose surround sound, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay. There will also be ventilated front seats, wireless charging, automatic climate control and rear AC vents. A PM 2.5 air purifier too will be offered.

In the all-new Hyundai i20, customers will also stand to get three engine options as well as transmissions. There is the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 84PS of power and 113Nm. This will be paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT. A 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor from the Grand i10 Nios will also be offered. This engine will produce 100PS of power and 173Nm. For this engine, the 7-speed DCT, 6-speed iMT as well as 6-speed manual will be there. For the 90PS/240Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine, Hyundai will give the 6-speed manual only.
