Hyundai India has teased the all-new Creta. Yes, we have seen the vehicle being tested on Indian roads while the international-spec one too has been revealed. However, the Indian Creta will definitely have some changes to the design. Moreover, the sketches don’t even reveal a part of what the final vehicle will look like. According to the company, the all-new Hyundai Creta will have a “masculine design”.
What do the sketches of the all-new Hyundai Creta show?
For starters, there is the new grille that will most likely be part of all new Hyundais. Then there is the split headlamp design that again seems inspired by the Venue. Plus the flared wheel arches. Moreover, the tail lamps too are LED units (finally). Inside, the usual niceties like a wireless charger, powered driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, 8-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and air ioniser will be present. Not only this, there is expected to be more space in the cabin and at the same time, the air conditioner too will be upgraded and there will be rear AC vents.
As part of the engines, Hyundai will have the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre petrol as well as diesel powertrains. There will also be manual and dual clutch automatic transmissions on offer. The fuel economy of these BS-VI engines will be at par with the older BS-IV units. While the emissions are lower, the diesel engines will not require additional AdBlue content in them. This in turn means the vehicles will not have a higher service cost.
Apart from the all-new Hyundai Creta, the Korean brand will also be showing off its Genesis vehicles as well as alternate-powered cars. Auto Expo 2020 might feel like a insipid affair because of the low participation but then vehicles like these will definitely make it worth remembering.
