A leaked image of the 2020 Honda CBR250RR has surfaced online. The leaked image shows that the CBR250RR has not only become more desirable but it also will make much more power than before. The new Honda Ceeber will take on the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC250 In this segment.
Ohoo! What’s the big deal with the 2020 Honda CBR250RR?
The 2020 Honda CBR250RR boasts a parallel twin 250cc engine that produces 40PS of power and a slightly higher 25Nm of torque. There is a bi-directional quickshifter on offer with the 6-speed gearbox. Honda has also added ride-by-wire technology which should aid crisper throttle response. There are also the riding modes on offer – Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
New colour schemes will be on offer though the 250RR doesn’t look vastly different than the outgoing bike. There are golden colored alloy wheels (yuck!), a delectable steel trellis frame done in red and the general aura of a fully-faired motorcycle.
There are disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS. There is the upside down front fork and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Full digital instrumentation is now a regular Honda fare. Alongside this, the motorcycle has an all-LED headlight and taillamps. Moreover, the CBR has been a global replacement of the ageing 250R. Honda also has the 300, the faired version of the street 300.
In India, the old 250R has seen the end of the road. There will be no BS-VI update to it. Honda had promised made-in-India performance bikes earlier this year. The 250RR makes a case for itself but then the cost has to be justified. A sub-Rs 3 lakh price tag means it will be expensive than the KTM RC390 but on line with the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
