The Honda Activa 6g has made its way to the Indian market. The Activa 6g is a BS-VI compliant vehicle and will be available in showrooms by Feb 2020. Honda has priced the scooter quite well. The Honda Activa 6g price in India starts from Rs 63,912 for the standard trim and Rs 65,412, ex-showroom. This is an increase of Rs 7,000 over the 5G.
Wow! Give me more details of the Honda Activa 6g
The all-new Honda Activa 110 has an enhanced engine. The swept volume is more than the previous Activa’s. Honda has increased the bore and stroke of the engine as well as compression ratio to make a lower 7.68PS and 8.79Nm. The power of the 5g was 8PS and 9Nm. Honda claims a 10% higher fuel efficiency than before. There is the silent start tech, fuel injection as well as an engine kill switch. What’s more, Honda has lowered the weight by a good 2kg on the 6g. We think, the performance will not be affected at all.
While the new Honda Activa 6g has grown in dimensions, the ground clearance too is now a generous 171mm. It is up from the previous 153mm. The storage capacity is also 18 litres. Honda has made another major change. The front suspension is now (finally) telescopic while the rear is a 3-step adjustable unit. There however are only drum brakes present on both ends – 130mm. These are linked with CBS. Other good Activa bits include the all-LED headlights, semi-digital instrument cluster and the nicely padded seat.
We think Honda has justified this price hike and since this is actually a generation leap, the buying public too shouldn’t be crying. What do you think of the new Honda Activa? Let us know.
