Italian bike manufacturer Ducati, has opened bookings for its first BS6 bike, the Panigale V2. Customers who are interested can book theirs for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The bike will be launched in India shortly and it will be seen at Ducati’s showrooms across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi NCR. The company will also commence test rides for potential customers while adhering to all safety standards to protect the employees and the buyers. This will come directly under the Ducati Cares initiative that was launched during the initial phase of COVID-19 outbreak.
Details about the Ducati Panigale V2
The bike was first showcased at EICMA and it will replace the 959 Panigale from the current fleet. The 959 Panigale is priced at Rs 15.30 lakh and we can expect the Panigale V2 to be Rs 1-1.5 lakh more expensive than the bike it will be replacing. The V2 houses the same 955cc, L-twin engine, but it has been tweaked to offer better performance while adhering to the updated emission norms. The engine puts out 155PS of power and 104Nm of torque. In short, the power has gone up by 5PS and the torque has increased by 2Nm, courtesy of that goes to the new injectors and air intakes along with revised internals. The Ducati Panigale V2 also features a single-sided aluminium swingarm that adds to the aggressive and stylish character of the bike.
