Tata Motors has got in the 2019 Tata Hexa. The updated Tata Hexa price in India starts from Rs 12.99 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 18.16 lakh, ex-showroom. Prices have increased by Rs 30,000 over the outgoing model. Bookings will start in a few days while deliveries will happen close to the end of March 2019.
What are the changes in the 2019 Tata Hexa
There are seven trims on offer – XE, XM, XMA, XM+, XT, XTA and XT 4×4. Only the latter as is evident from the name, gets 4×4. The XE is the base trim but gets a lot more equipment this time around. This includes chrome projector headlights, a 4-speaker audio system and more. The best part is that apart from the XE trim, all other trims get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto connectivity as standard. 19-inch wheels are reserved for the XT trims while the other trims get 16-inchers. Further, the manuals get charcoal grey alloys while the automatics have diamond cut alloys.
The Hexa 2019 edition will come in five color options with the dual tone roof – Infinity Black and Titanium Grey reserved for only the XT badged trims. Mechanically nothing has changed. The 2019 Tata Hexa gets a 2.2-litre turbo diesel in two state of tune. The XE exclusively gets the lower tuned 150PS/320Nm engine with a 5-speed manual. All other trims get a 156PS/400Nm tune with a 6-speed manual or AT. Only the XT 4×4 gets AWD and modes like Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. Automatic versions also get the Sport mode.
Safety wise, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as well as Cornering Stability Control, Engine Drag Torque Control as well as rear fog lights are standard. The XT trims get six airbags, reverse parking sensors with camera, ESP with rollover mitigation, Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold Control and Traction Control.
