The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 range has been launched in India for Rs 34.50 lakh, ex-Delhi. The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon is priced at Rs 41 lakh while the range topping H2R is priced at Rs 72 lakh. All the models are available for booking from September 1. Bookings will close by October 31, 2018 with deliveries scheduled for next year. Customers can visit Kawasaki showrooms across India to book the motorcycles. All these motorcycles come in through the CBU route and are available in limited quantities.
It is surprising that Kawasaki chose to launch the Ninja H2 this early in India. The facelifted model was unveiled just a week ago globally. Key changes to the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 include new TFT instrumentation, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, all-LED lighting, updated brakes as well as a self healing paint. Yes, you read the last part right. The new Ninja H2 features a special paint coat that takes care of minor scratches. In some cases, these scratches may take a week to get fixed on their own. Kawasaki however is quick to point that abrasions caused due to zippers, key or a coin cannot be fixed by this paint.
The brakes are made by Brembo and feature their latest high spec unit. These Stylema monobloc calipers have less volume around the brakes compared to the outgoing units. Since there is less internal space taken by the brake fluid, there is a more direct as well as urgent response while braking. These brakes are available across the range now.
If you thought this was more of a cosmetic update, think again. The new Kawasaki Ninja H2 also gets a power upgrade. Kawasaki has massaged 231PS from the 1,000cc engine. The peak torque is 141Nm. There is also a revised supercharger emblem near the engine case.
The overall weight of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 is 216kg while the ground clearance is 130mm. The fuel tank can hold 17 litres of fuel.
