The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift has been launched in India at Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. There are three variants to choose from. Out of these, the C200d Prime is priced at Rs 40.0 lakh, the C220d Progressive retails at Rs 44.25 lakh while the 300d AMG Line is for Rs 48.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
What’s new in the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift?
Almost 6,500 components are new. The headlights are full LED and so are the tail lights. The bumpers have been revised both at the front and back. Inside the cabin, depending on the trim opted for one gets a flat bottomed steering wheel or a regular one. There is also the revised upholstery with wood trims. All C-Class variants now get dual zone automatic climate control. A panoramic sunroof too is standard.
New engines in the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift?
The 2.1-litre has given way to a new 2.0-litre diesel motor. This engine makes 194PS of power and 400Nm of torque. The 0-100kmph is done in 7.9s while the top speed is 232kmph. A 9-speed automatic transmission is standard on all C-Class variants.
The same engine is available with a higher state of tune. It makes 245PS and 500Nm. 0-100kmph is dispatched in 5.9s while the top speed is 250kmph.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift competes with the Audi A4, Volvo S60, BMW 3 Series and the Jaguar XE.
