Honda launched its updated Livo BS6 in India a fortnight ago. The Honda Livo BS6 is a good change given that the older bike wasn’t as feature-rich. The new Livo boasts a power hike and also has fresh features. What’s more the gear mesh noise while starting the bike too is gone now thanks to the silent starter. HMSI has given a service due indicator in the semi-digital instrument console. New graphics too have been introduced. As for the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, its styling is borrowed from the same nameplate. However, there are differences as this Platina comes with a standard front disc brake. It also has a semi-digital instrument console. With BS6, the weight has gone up and compared with a TVS or Honda 100-110cc product, the Platina is heavier.
However, the Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear boasts a fifth gear and a broader pillion footrest. Honda, here, though has a better power-to-weight ratio. It also has the better three-year warranty plus and additional three if the customer pays a bit more. But, Honda has priced the bike exorbitantly. Our choice here will be the affordable Bajaj.
