There is no denying that the Bajaj Dominar 400 is one of the most value for money performance motorcycle you can find in the sub-Rs 2 lakh bracket. It literally punches above its weight. There is top notch hardware to be ordered while the engine too is more powerful than similar offerings. Customers also appreciated the recent changes that were made to the bike and the nominal Rs 10,000 hike in price. However, there is a new entrant that everyone has been talking about. It is the Honda CB 300R. The neo-cafe racer is priced attractively given that the motorcycle isn’t entirely made here. The Honda CB 300R though doesn’t have enough power on tap when compared to the Dominar. Moreover, the Dominar matches the CB 300R in other departments too. It is only the CB 300R’s IMU ABS that takes it a bit higher. The CB 300R doesn’t have a bikini fairing and windblast could be a problem should you were to take it on tours. The Dominar gets a small windscreen and optional accessories too. Build quality of the Honda is a notch higher than that of the Dominar however. It though is common knowledge that Dominar parts will be more affordable than those of the Honda.
All in all, on paper, the Dominar proves superior. However, on the road, it is for you to decide or for us to check some other day.
