Its finally here! The top of the line Triumph Tiger 800 has been launched in India. The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA price in India is Rs 15.16 lakh, ex-Delhi. Bookings have already started for Rs 1 lakh while deliveries will be fulfilled in the coming weeks.
What is the Triumph Tiger 800 XCA all about?
It is the more off-road focussed trim of the Tiger 800. The Triumph Tiger 800 XCA, brings along with it more than 200 combined changes to the chassis, design as well as engine. Let’s talk about the engine first. This 800cc, triple-cylinder engine makes 95PS of power and 79Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph says that the power delivery is more urgent now. Moreover, the XCA gets a shorter first gear to help it out of tricky low traction surfaces.
Speaking of which, there are six riding modes including a new Off-Road Pro slot that switches off rider aids. This, as the name suggests, is best left to riders who are used to the weight of the motorcycle as well as are adept at off-road riding. For this very reason, Triumph has given a 21-inch spoke wheel in the front and 17-inch wheel at the rear. Brembo disc brakes are available on both ends with dual channel switchable ABS.
Triumph says that the exhaust note too has been made more throatier. Other changes include an all-LED lighting system, new graphics, body panels as well as an updated cruise control system. This Triumph Tiger 800 XCA will compete with the Kawasaki Versys 1000 as well as the BMW F750 GS Pro.
Shoeb Farooq, general manager, Triumph Motorcycles India commented “Tiger as a brand is important and central to our product strategy in India. With more than 1000 Tigers already on the road, Triumph Tiger undoubtedly is the largest premium adventure motorcycle in India. We are proud to launch the Tiger 800 XCA today which adds to our already strong adventure offering to Indian audiences.
