Toyota India has recalled the petrol variants of the Innova Crysta and Fortuner. The recall pertains to inspecting and replacing the fuel hose piping for the vehicles manufactured between July 21, 2016 to March 2018. Toyota India dealers will contact the customers and fix and appointment with the latter to get their vehicles back to the service centres. The replacement of the part, if any, will be done free of cost to the customer. Toyota hasn’t specified the number of vehicles that fall under this particular recall program.
Earlier as well, Toyota India had recalled the Innova Crysta and Fortuners units for fixing a wiring harness issue. These recalls are voluntary and are done by the manufacturer to maintain the quality of its products and to ensure that customers don’t feel shortchanged or are in any kind of danger from their vehicles.
Toyota had earlier issued recalls for the Corolla Altis to inspect the airbag for the front passenger. On the launch front, the Japanese automaker recently started selling the Yaris sedan. The 105PS 1.5-litre engined Yaris is available only in petrol as of now. One can order it with a 6-speed manual or a CVT.
