After numerous sightings, Suzuki has launched the Burgman matte black edition in India. The Suzuki Burgman matte black edition price in India is Rs 69, 208, ex-Delhi. This is the same price as the other colours of the scooter. Thankfully, no extra premium then. Just a month ago, the Burgman sold more than 6,000 units in India, making it the third most sold scooter after the Activa and Access.
What’s new in the Suzuki Burgman matte black edition?
Not much, honestly. The Burgman matte black edition gets the new colour scheme. It is also a regular model and is not going to be limited in terms of sales. It still has that big scooter styling and boasts an all-digital instrument cluster done with back backlighting. It has LED lights both at the front as well as back while the turn indicators are done in a regular fashion. Suzuki has also given this scooter foot rests on the front apron, thereby lending it a relaxed riding position. The boot space of 21.7 litres is big enough for a regular full-face helmet while the international spec ones will not fit in here.
This Suzuki runs the familiar 125cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine from the Access. It makes 8.7PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque. Telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear complete the mechanical side of things. Suzuki provides a disc brake in the front and CBS with this scooter. They have also given the Easy Start System which ensures that you don’t have to press the starter button repeatedly.
This is Suzuki’s third launch this month. Earlier, the Access got a new paint scheme while there was also the Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP edition too. It seems Suzuki is trying to push its vehicle sales just before the start of the festive season in India. Next month, we will have the Gixxer SF250 in MotoGP livery. The regular Gixxer 250 is also ready for launch.
