Hyundai India, after the launch of the Santro CNG, has announced its second CNG product for the private owners. The Hyundai Grand i10 CNG price in India is Rs 6.39 lakh, ex-Mumbai. This price is Rs 67,000 over that of the regular Grand i10 petrol. The vehicle bookings will start in a few days and it will be available only in the Magna trim. Hyundai also offers the same for fleet owners too.
Give me more details of the Hyundai Grand i10 CNG
The Hyundai Grand i10 CNG gets a sequential Lovato kit and makes 66.6PS of power and 98Nm. In petrol guise, the engine produces 82PS of power and 114Nm. A 5-speed manual is the only option here. The petrol fuel tank capacity stands at 43 litres while the CNG is 60 litres. Hyundai hasn’t mentioned any efficiency numbers yet but expect the CNG kit to deliver around 33km/kg.
Hyundai offers a 3 years/1 lakh km warranty on the Grand i10. The same applies for the CNG model too. In terms of features, there are four power windows, a music system, 14-inch steel wheels, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and more. The Hyundai Grand i10 CNG, as of now, doesn’t have any competition. It is likely that Ford will start offering the CNG option with the Figo very soon. Maruti too will bring out the Swift CNG sometime in 2020. This is a given considering the recent announcement on the shift to petrol and hybrid versions.
The Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to receive a generation change later this year. Many times, the test mule has been spotted as well. It is likely that the CNG version is the final hurrah to the current generation and could be on sale only for a few months from now. Hyundai’s next big launch is the Venue SUV that will go on sale on May 21, 2019.
