Yes, we been carrying news about the Ford Figo 2019 for quite sometime now. The launch is scheduled for March 15, 2019. The last time around, we spotted a Blu trim at a dealer stockyard. While details of the Blu trim weren’t out and only speculations were available as to what exactly it was, now we have the full details.
The Ford Figo 2019 Blu details, please.
Yes, of course. Right from the time it was spotted on Indian soil, there have been various speculations. Few said that this was an all-new CNG version of the Figo while others said that this was a more eco-friendly Figo. However, we can now dispel these myths. The Ford Figo 2019 will come with Blu badging and will sit above the Titanium trim. There will be a new Titanium Blu trim available. This one boasts only cosmetic changes.
For starters, there is the fully blacked-out grille, blue fog lamp nacelles, black and blue decals on the side and back, Blu badging at the rear as well as black casing for the mirror and a black roof. New 15-inch alloy wheels with a blue tinge to them too are part of the package. Inside, there will be blue-coloured design elements.
In terms of engine options for the Figo Blu, there will be a choice of a new 1.2-litre 96PS/120Nm engine that will be mated to a 5-speed manual. This engine, in the Ford Figo 2019, will deliver an ARAI-rated 20.4kmpl. The other engine of choice will be the 100PS/215Nm, 1.5-litre turbo diesel. A 5-speed manual is the only transmission available with this motor. Ford claims a fuel economy of 25.4kmpl from the diesel engine. The new 123PS/150Nm 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor will not be available with the Blu trim. This engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission and lays claim to a fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl.
Ford Figo 2019 variants, trims and colours
This time around, the Figo variants are divided in a simple fashion. The base will be the Ambiente, then there will be the Titanium and Titanium Blu. One can order the 1.5 petrol only in the Titanium trim while rest of the variants are available in Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu.
The Ford Figo 2019 measures 3,941mm in length, 1,704mm in width and 1,525mm in height. The wheelbase is 2490mm. These measurements are up as opposed to the 3,886mm x 1,695mm x 1,525mm earlier, respectively. Clearly the length as well as width of the new car are more by 55mm and 9mm respectively. A look at the wheelbase and you realise that it is down by 1mm. It is clear that the new Figo has the Swift squarely in its sight and the latter is smaller than the Figo by a big margin.
The colour options available in the new Ford Figo include Smoke Grey, White Gold, Oxford White, Deep Impact Blue, Absolute Black and Moondust Silver and the communication colour, Ruby Red. If you are going to opt for the Blu variant, the only choice of colour is the Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey and Oxford White.
