Chinese motorcycle brand CF Moto is all set to launch its first line of products in India on July 19th. The launch was scheduled for 4th of July but it was postponed due to heavy rain in Mumbai, now the launch event will take place in Bengaluru instead.
CF Moto has partnered with Hydrabad-based AMW Motorcycles for India operations. The company will launch the range consisting its models 300NK, 650NK, 650MT and 650GT. The first two sit in the streetfighter segment while the other two are adventure-touring bikes made for long journeys.
The 650cc range is already sold internationally but India might be the first country to have the 300NK officially on sale. It is powered by a 292.4 cc engine that makes 34PS and 20.5Nm of torque. It will take on the likes of Honda CBR300R and KTM 390 Duke in the segment. The 650 range gets a 649cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is set up to put out different outputs in different variants.
CF Moto currently has one manufacturing plant in Bengaluru with a capacity of 10,000 units per year. The details about dealership network will be revealed on the launch day only. Will the new player be able to make its mark in the popular and growing segments in the Indian market? Only time will tell.
