Dispatches from the Suzuki factory have begun.
What’s new in the 2019 Suzuki Intruder?
There is a new metallic matte titanium silver color scheme on offer. This one looks quite good on the Intruder and along with this, there are small revisions. The brake pedal position has been slightly revised for better ergonomics. Suzuki is also saying that the gear shifter design too has been altered. A backrest for the pillion too is standard now. Other niceties continue like the disc brakes on both ends, big bike styling, digital instrument cluster, LED projector headlight and single channel ABS.
There are no changes to the refined 155cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. It continues to make 14.8PS of power and 14Nm of torque. A 5-speed gearbox is paired with this engine. The motorcycle with Fi weighs 149kg while the one with carb weighs 1kg less. Currently competition for the 2019 Suzuki Intruder comes in the form of the Bajaj Avenger 180. Not only is the 180 more powerful but even the 220 is priced much lower than that of the Intruder. ABS, as is the norm, is now available with both the Bajaj bikes too.
