This has been long in the making. Ever since the Impulse was discontinued, Hero Motocorp has always been urged to get the Impulse 200. Hero though has changed the name as well as the engine of the new motorcycle. Now called the XPulse 200, the Hero Motocorp entry-level adv is ready. The Hero XPulse 200 price in India is Rs 97,000 for the carb trim, Rs 1.05 lakh for Fi and the Xpulse 200T carb is for Rs 94,000 ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings have started while deliveries will be fulfilled by the end of May.
What’s new in the Hero XPulse 200?
Its an all-new motorcycle for starters. The overall shape of the vehicle may look similar to the Impulse. However, Hero says that they have built this vehicle from scratch. There is the full LED headlight, digital instrument cluster that also has Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, single channel ABS and more. The Hero XPulse 200 gets a 21-inch wheel in the front and a 18-inch unit at the back. There are also knuckle guards as well as bash plates available. In contrast, the 200T is the roadgoing version that has 17-inch alloys at both ends. Rest of the cycle parts remain the same.
In terms of suspension components, the Hero XPulse 200 gets longer travel front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The 200T gets the same suspension components as the Xtreme 200R.
Powering the Xpulse 200 is the same motor derived from the Xtreme 200R. This engine is a 200cc unit that is fuel injected and air-cooled. The engine makes 18.4PS of power and 17.1Nm torque. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit.
